    Core element and module housings

    The core shell (for 8 or 16 modules) is a crosstalk-proof section for signals that are particularly sensitive to interference and crosstalk phenomena, such as ethernet lines or digital signals in general.

    The central insert is an electrically insulated section for signal types requiring high insulation between contacts, such as main power, speaker lines or analog audio signals.

    Tunnel Modules

    The insulated modules fitted in the Syntax Safe Tunnels hold a pair of signal contacts and are EIA / TIA color coded (for Ethernet) or black (for other signals).

    On the SGH series, two shell sizes are available.
    The smaller shell is for SGH 8.1 versions, and holds 8 modules + 1 central insert.
    The bigger shell is for SGH 16.1 versions, and holds 16 modules + 1 central insert.
